Ethical Cannibalism

You crave the blood of others. The thought of fresh raw meat from your fellow man is appetizing and intriguing. It's a craving for a forbidden experience. You feel like it is wrong, but there are so many societies out there that practice cannibalism. There must be something to it, right?

We can start to eat people once we get down to the why we should be eating people in the first place? Is there a great nutritional benefit? Is there an environmental benefit? Is there an ethical reason to consume the flesh of their own species? These questions are important to ask.

If someone were to voluntarily offer up themselves to get eaten and we were able to ethically put them down, would that be an acceptable way to eat them? We of course could use other parts of the body for so many things, kind of how we do with bovine and ruminant species. There is plenty of use of the fat, bones and skin to construct different tools, furniture, products and even art! Think of the possibilities of using the totality of the human body. Not a piece to waste. Then we could return what is waste back to the earth. A win win for the circle of life.

Could we ethically start eating each other? Is there significant nutritional value in consuming the flesh of our fellow man? It seems rather savage and macabre, but there may be something to it. In a way it's very progressive. Think of the how it could affect industry, space and how we view the process of death. We could take in the caloric content of our brothers and sisters as a means of honor and great admiration for the natural cycle of energy in the universe. Life indeed feeds on life. Why can't we start eating ourselves for the betterment of the environment around us?

The thought of eating someone you love or even a family member seems very off putting when you first start thinking of it. But if you can take a step back in your mind and look at the bigger picture you may start to warm up to the idea of Ethical Cannibalism. You could eat the flesh as a means of honoring the dead and make pieces from the bone or other parts. The organs could always go towards the dogs or any carnivorous household pets. What use are we just rotting in the ground especially when we are pumped full of chemicals?

Think of the immense energy that is stored in the human body. Think of the economic and synergetic potential that could feed or sustain people in poverty. Think about how cannibalism would add to the value of how we see ourselves and our bodies. Will it change the way we treat ourselves if we know that we could potentially be eaten by other people? No one would need to suffer. There can be ethical ways to put down willing or dying people to use their bodies for sustenance. There are can be ways to eat people in a respectful and honorable manner.

After all we are animals. There are many animals in nature that eat their own. Most of time out of the need for survival, but none the less it is still a nutritious option. What is stopping us? Why has cannibalism become so stigmatized? Think of all the tribes that have integrated cannibalism into their culture and customs. What has civilization done to us? What if cannibalism is more natural than you think?

It starts with the small things. If we can normalize cannibalism in a civilized society, then imagine how we could tie it in with the environment. Waste not want not. It may be uncomfortable, but we could start out with eating the bodies of the freshly deceased. This would gear us for harder decisions down the line. What's the harm in eating the flesh of a person that has died of natural or unnatural causes if we can't bring them back from the dead? If we see it as honoring the dead by consuming their flesh, then we can change the way we look at death. We can get closer to the circle of life and the transference of caloric energy. Think of the recipes and possibilities. This would all require careful expertise and consent from those who would have responsibility for the body after it dies. None of this of course could be forced. That would highly Un-Ethical.

The Cannibalism Industry could be booming...

Can you imagine consuming a burger made from your fellow man? Think of how the taste would hit your tongue and what thoughts would go through your head on the life this person or people lived. Now they are energy for other humans. Compressed into a flattened circular shape. Energy in. Energy out. Nutritionally dense energy at that.

Why waste energy and why can't we be resourceful? It's all right in front of us. In fact, it is us!
